Mission
Our mission here at Recall The Past is to inform WWU students and faculty of how Bellingham's racial history and Viking symbology are negatively intertwined, and in doing so, inspire them to champion for change. We hope that after visiting our site, you leave with a deeper understanding of why we feel so strongly about kicking the helmet and starting anew.
Vision
We are not raiders; we are students. Western students and faculty, ourselves included, aim to engender inclusion, diversity, education and the ability to embrace change in light of new information. Our mascot should represent these ideals that we hold steadfast to. We envision a future where WWU students and faculty have a say in how our University is being represented.
